ON THE 18TH OF AUGUST, 2014, UNDER EUROPEAN FOUNDATION FOR URBAN CULTURE WITH MINISTRY OF CULTURE AND NATIONAL HERITAGE OF POLAND AND CITY OF LUBLIN FINANCIAL SUPPORT, OPENED THE POLISH URBAN ART PROJECT.
THE EVENT WAS ORGANIZED WITH TWO LOCAL CURATORS, TAMARA BOKUCHAVA (SOCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY CAUCASUS FOUNDATION) AND NINI PALAVANDISHVILI (GEOAIR), AND INVITED URBAN ARTIST FROM POLAND, KAMIL KUZKO (HTTP://KAMILKUZKO.WORDPRESS.COM/).
AS A PART OF THE EVENT, KAMIL KUZKO CREATED HIS MURAL, ON THE WALL OF BATUMI ART SCHOOL, LOCATED AT PISOMANI STREET 5, WORKING TOGETHER WITH LOCAL STUDENTS FROM BATUMI ART STATE UNIVERSITY. DURING THE LAST TWO DAYS OF THE EVENT KAMIL KUZKO HELD A PRACTICAL WORKSHOP FOR THE INTERESTED STUDENTS ABOUT CURRENT TRENDS AND TENDENCIES IN URBAN ART DEVELOPMENT IN EUROPE SHARING HIS RICH EXPERIENCE AS AN ARTIST AND UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR.
Kamil Kuzko was born in 1981 in Lublin, Poland. After becoming involved in the graffiti writing scene in the mid 1990s, he developed his interests at the Art Department of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, from which he graduated in 2008 obtaining an MA diploma in painting with the Dean’s Distinction Award. In 2008 he became a Ph.D. program fellow at the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, receiving his doctoral degree in painting in 2012. Currently, Kamil Kuzko teaches at the Acadamy of Fine Arts in Krakow, and works on his paintings, drawings, and murals.
